Lucas and Mia’s Paris!

Bonjour!

Before we go to Paris (ooh la la!), I want to remind you to please sign up for my newsletter! Just put your email right where it says Subscribe over to the right. If you enjoyed Frenched, you will not want to miss being on the list to receive sneak peaks of Mia and Lucas’s future together…coming soon!

So today I thought it might be fun to take you on a tour of Paris as it appears in Frenched! I wish I could really take us there–and damn I wish Lucas could really be our guide–but pictures will have to do.

MIA ARRIVES IN PARIS…

Mia’s suite at the Plaza Athenee. Pretty nice digs.

The Moose, a Canadian sports bar in the Latin Quarter. Inspiration for The Beaver, where Lucas is bartending when Mia walks in.

DAY 1 WITH LUCAS…

The Arc de Triomphe, looking very nontriumphant in this small picture. But this is the view I imagined Lucas having when Mia goes to climb it.

Mia’s view of the Champs Elysees from the top of the Arc.

Next he takes her to Pere Lachaise Cemetery…so pretty.

The tomb of poor Felix Faure, the president who died during a blow job, haha. True story. Can you tell it amuses me?

AbelardHeloiseTomb
The beautiful tomb of Abelard and Heloise…more on them soon!

After some lunch (and wine, mais oui), they go to Notre Dame, and Lucas reads to her from her guidebook while they sit on a bench near the cathedral. One of my favorite sweet scenes in the book!

Next, she convinces him to climb the tower, and here’s the view from the top. While they’re up there, he asks her to dinner…

Here’s the restaurant I imagine Lucas taking Mia to for dinner. It’s in the Latin Quarter, and it’s really good. Get the veal!

After dinner, they go to Lucas’s apartment, which I picture like this since it actually belongs to his mother:

And then there is a lot of this.

Ahem.

DAY 2 WITH LUCAS…

Square in the Place des Vosges, where Lucas and Mia eat a sandwich. (And she thinks about sex. A lot.)

Next, they shop in the Village St Paul, a little area in the Marais near the Place des Vosges.

They have wine at a little bistro nearby…

Then they go to the Rodin museum–probably my favorite place in Paris. Here is the view from the back, where they walked after touring inside. Then it started to rain…

And this happens.

Then later on, this.

And of course this.

Eventually, they get hungry!

Restaurant up on Montmartre, where he takes her to hear music and plays the guitar for her.

Stairs in Montmartre…how I wish this photo were bigger! This is where Lucas asks Mia to go with him to Vaucluse.

And then they go back to Lucas’s apartment again…I’ll just leave it at that.

Come back later this week for Part Dexu: Lucas and Mia’s Provence!

It is tres sexy, I promise. 😉

  1. Aaaand I’ve signed up for the email list. Love the images. It makes me giddy. Will we be learning more about Jessica? Like Mia, I have a twisted fascination with her. Also, where can I get a bound copy of the book? I want everyone and their mother to read it but am unwilling to loan out my Kindle for selfish reasons.

  2. Cool!! I shall invest! And do you think a novel from Lucas’s point of view will ever come about? It wouldn’t be necessary because my love for him is already maxed out, but it would be interesting for sure.

  3. I love that you do this for us. I don’t care how old we get, pictures with captions from a book are the best form of summary/revisiting a text. Thanks!

  4. ❤️❤️❤️ These pictures of their story, especially now that I’ve read Frenched! What a wonderful visual journey to match your writing! Anxiously waiting to read more about their future when they are both back in the states. Peace out Tucker…but secretly I hope he tries to pursue her and Lucas puts him in his place! LOL!!
